What's this? A fancy phone with new features launching in Europe before North America? Who would have thought that it could be?!?!

Now if you were a Verizon customer you could have had a 3G Palm phone months ago. As a matter of fact they are selling two different models of 3G Treo's currently.

Yeah, but then you'd have to be a Verizon customer. And who the hell wants that?

Yeah, only about 52 million people. Many of these people have been with the company while others like Sprint and Cingular have spent40 plus billion buying other companies since they can't grow their customer base at the rate Verizon has.

You all crack me up, when will Cinglebar get a Treo that compares to Verizon's offerings? Slam all you want but you got give Verizon props, they are the only company that has serious growth from adding customers and not buying them through major mergers.

For those of you about to jump on the Verizon started by merging bandwagon please remember that Cingular formed shortly after and only grew a few million until buying AT&T while Verizon grew by over 20 million subs and never bought a major compa...

You keep on kissing ass over there at verzion while at cingular i will continue to pay a cell phone bill that is 20 dollars less than what they are banging you out for over there. And When i go To other countries and they start to ask that "can you hear me know?" Look how many people are like Here what? you don't even have a signal.

SHUT UP WITH CARRIER FLAME WARS

I wasn't even gonna go in the direction of "Why doesn't [my carrier of choice] have this phone", heck, I don't even LIKE the Treo, and certainly not with Windows mobile - I was making a sardonic comment on the fact that the vast majority of the more interesting devices launch in Europe first, if at all.

Nobody said anything about who was gonna carry or not carry it, it was just eric/Rich passing some news onto the rest of us. There's no need to let this devolve into "The GSM/UMTS Treo is better. . . and Verizon sucks!" vs "No WAY - CDMA/EVDO Treo Rules! And Cingular Sucks!"

I just go with gsm because I travel around the world a bit and you can get the utms treo you just have to have a utms sim. Far as I am concerned they are 😈 all the same for the most part its just a matter of do you get signal where you use the device. I happen to be in WA state in an area where ther is great Cingular coverage and I travel overseas. I have unlocked all my fones and I can use whatever sim I want. My sister in law has Verizon and she likes her stuff. I actually see better linup in gsm though. I agree, get off the carrier wars and get on with it.
