To add to that, the SPH-A720 by Samsung is all but canned.

Who knows, but that is the news comming out of Sprint.

The A920 is still going to go EOL in September with no replacement in sight.

I'm sorry, but Sprint is getting and is going to get screwed with their diminuitive lineup.

what's wrong with sprint is that they choose to carry phones with less problems and greater customer satisfaction (samsung and sanyo, respectively). do you not notice that motorola is constantly recalling and having to retool the phones that have been out less than a few months. the razr has been out for how long(?) and they're just now making it a little more shiny and adding a slightly better-than-vga camera. all in all, i'll take a samsung 900 with over-the-air upgrades, 1.3mp, and high speed internet over some hastily-built motorola that will be getting recalled in 3 or 4 months.

Yeah but that still doesn't make the phone appealing to the average user who likes flashy and amazing things and sprint really needs to kick up in gear and get some of the damn phones that moto has for verizon. and besides the a900 is one of the buggiest phones I have ever used that is why I have moved onto a Treo 700p, besides its a slim phone that doesn't have and needs a memory card (which would make it amazing) but for some reason Sprint isn't doing anything about it other then update the UI... don't get me wrong I love sprint but they really need to step it up. and get more of the phones that "WOW" people... Verizon has too many for me to even list...

I've got 23 different models in my store....many of which seem to wow people.

Plus different phones wow different kinds of people

Different phones do tend to "wow" different people. On the same token, consumers as a whole are in a "me too" state of mind. Average mobile phone user sees another average mobile phone user on the new glossy thin phone, and guess what? They want the same thing. Everyone knows that the industry is all about supply and demand, and blah blah blah. Sprint needs to focus more on what will satiate the consumers need to look cool, while at the same time have those staple phones, that will deliver awesome signal strength, voice clarity, and be all around great (while not the most attractive) phones.

well look at Verizon's "WOW" phones they have great functionality and they make people want on them sprint doesn't have that with Sanyo and Samsung with the moment the a900 is just another slim copycat in people's mind.. Also verizon's RAZR still has an edge on the A900 cause the memory card slot the a900 is supposed to be a cool mp3 phone but you cant listen to very many songs with a combined total of 58mb of memory.. Verizon has the form, function and the cool factor that people want.. like motorola Q for example and the RAZR V3m... they have great reception they have great form and they make people want them..
