This phone doesn't support 800mhz cdma

I just found out from the website "phone arena" that this phone will only support 1900mhz cdma and 800mhz iden. No roaming onto Verizons 800mhz cdma. I'm not too happy about that since Sprint's coverage is minimal without the capability of roaming. Can anyone tell me how we can find out if this is going to be a permanent issue with Sprint Nextel ( no roaming onto Verizon's 800 mhz cdma) or is this just going to be an issue with this phone in particular? Any help you folks could give me would be much appreciated! Thank you.
If the final release won't have CDMA 800, then don't buy the phone, because it's primarily major markets that have CDMA 1900. Rural areas are likely to have CDMA 800 due to th...

“CDMA (Code Division Multiple Access) - A form of multiplexing, which allows
numerous signals to occupy a single transmission channel, optimizing the use of available
bandwidth. The technology is used in ultra-high-frequency (UHF) cellular telephone
systems in the 800-MHz and 1.9-GHz bands. The CDMA2000 standard is thirdgeneration
(3G) mobile wireless technology and delivers data at speeds ranging from 144
Kbps to 2 Mbps.”

Nextel, in a two-way radio context uses 806-821 and 851-866 MHz bands.
This information was adapted from the 2002 edition of "The Cell Phone Handbook" by Penelope Stetz.
So 850 Mhz is more of a concensus & marketing description for cell phones, whereas 800 MHz iDen has its roots in two-way radio. Also, you wouldn't want to get spectrum mixed up in a emergency first responder radio interoperability situation, since the airwaves may be crowded.
One installation that comes to mind is the Bay Area Rapid Transit project that so far has BART

No big as long as I don't lose any coverage that I have now through nextel.
once again Thank you!
That is why many consumers who complain in person and then here on the forums, especially phone scoop, are very naïve when it comes to these things.
The countdown is on till another one emerges. What is your guess? 20 mins? Loll
Blade is betta!
But on another note... I would guess there already has been another hopeless consumer and/or idiots in here. You see every time there is an article about VZW the idiot kool-aid drinkers come out in force... I haven't even ventured into the above articles' discussion boards yet, for fear I will have to lecture the less fortunate once again!
Take a look at the Verizon and Cingular boards, now, because they are talking about the lawsuit filed against Cingular was rubbish and something else and in the Verizon forum saying that stuff about Cingular. Don’t you love that? At least keep the forums and its topics relevant. I used to do that, and then I felt that it was just bringing out negative connotation on the board even though that I mean nothing by it. I think there should be just a main carrier forum that has competitors and stuff because it is getting pathetic.
