I sit on my porch on the beach the most of the day but sometimes I go out and have fun like last night until the morning but as you can see I rarely have been posting on phone scoop, but picked it up ever since. Not sure why I did, but I saw some pathetic posts and information given so I wanted to clarify it.

Heck yes to that laptops with pc cards is the way to go, I'm just hoping Cingular comes out with 3.6mbps HSDPA cards next year! ! ! !

Yea, I get those phonescoop new replies notifying me of replies because I don’t have time to look at each forum to see if they replied to my posts.
Pc-cards and high speed are the way to go and it’s another way to push revenue and I have a few pc-cards for my laptops but on the Sprint network because it is the best with Data and content. I have many contacts with Sierra and Novatel, and they have mentioned that there will be many pc-cards coming out for Cingular, as well as the rest of the wireless world, that includes the next generation type devices. (shipping is supposed to be commencing this 2nd half, about the 3rd quarter which during this time frame) I haven’t asked them when it will be in the carriers’ hands to sell.

Specifically 3.6mbps HSDPA aircards??? If you can't find out right this moment, fine. But if you can, then awesome, I would so, so, so much like to know.

Regarding 3.6mpbs HSDPA air cards lets start with Novatel first. They have mentioned that these types of devices for North American markets should be starting in the 3rd quarter of this year. Obviously, North American markets primarily mean Cingular for this type of technology. Due to uncertainties these times can change at any time. Novatel currently has the Merlin U730, but that only is capable to go up to 1.8mbps. The Merlin U870 is a 3.6mpbs device, which again will commence shipment in the 3rd quarter. In addition, they currently have the XU870 that supports 3.6/7.2 but they haven’t assigned Cingular to this device. There are others which I can’t name.
