Didn't see that mentioned.

Katana is a lowly 1.1 😉

First in US with 2.0 no less...

Think that warrants some mentioning...

what exactly is the big extra difference in being 2.0? faster speeds as far as data transfer?

Not much, to be honest.

Each new version of Bluetooth offers slightly better performance and security, but they're small differences, mostly. The better performance is things like faster pairing, better resistance to interference, and lower power drain (better battery life).

Bluetooth 2.0 by itself is not any faster, that only comes with EDR. EDR is optional with 2.0, but it's significant enough that it's usually listed as part of the version number, such as "Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR".

Extended Data Rate (or Enhanced, I forget at the moment)

It just means faster... 😉

Now that the phone has been "released" how long does it usually take to filter down to the stores for purchase? I can't seem to find them in stock anywhere...

Right now. The Radio Shack/Sprintel kiosk in the mall got theirs today.

VERY HOI PHONE

Ready link, Bluetooth, nice design.

Only cons that I can spot right off are the design of the flip itself (awesome closed, open is so/so), and the VGA camera without video (that we can find anyway).

Found it while out of town this weekend in the St. Louis area. Very cool - small, sleek, light. Just what I was looking for.
