Hope the frame doesn’t freeze? Hahah. There will be needed a lot of memory (ram) in these handheld devices. Will this be a hit? Not sure, and because Cingular isn’t that great with data, perhaps that will not entice users to come over. At least they have the right idea by going into the future, but with that said, I think they should focus on other things that is inclusive with data.

I don’t think Cingular is great with data, but they are just ok with data because there are other carriers out there, actually mainly one who is the best with data. I think that Cingular should just focus on other things and not to deploy this yet, at least until the pricing and metrics are in order, because I am not sure many people will be interested in this. If that is the case, then they would waste money on that like they did with push to talk. I think they should just improve their data by adding speed and content and focus on that before doing these advance services like this. If they do well, great, but if they don’t, they will have wasted a ton of money.

Well, I look at data arpu a lot, content, and I think those factors will tell the story going on in the future.

Right now, 1. Sprint, 2 Cingular, 3 Verizon. 4. T-Mobile USA.

I'm glad you ask, Sprextelly.

Two things:
1. Stop verbally vomiting the press releases, conference call materials, industry buzz words, and such to deceive the reader into believing that you know what you actually type.

B. Change your name to Sprextel18. Then, I'll be forced to think that you have a sense of humor, and you shall be psuedo-cool.

Sincerely,

You should rephrase that statement.

It should read as follows:

"Well, it is true that I'll always post my Sprextel fan posts because I am, in fact, a Sprextel fan. That is the truth."

"Again, why bother with your stupid replies?"

Why, your Sprextelliness may ask? Because you bother with your stupid replies.

NextelFanBoy18 -

I'm back....

Ok, first things last.

You said:
"I don’t think Cingular is great with data, but they are just ok with data because there are other carriers out there, actually mainly one who is the best with data."

What in the name of Zeus's butthole did you really just say?? If I could paraphrase, I think you said "Cingular's not great with data but they are good with data because there are other carriers out there, actually, mainly one, who is the best with data."

Wha-wha-wha-what??

Wow. That still didn't make any sense. That's like saying: "I think Chevy is a good car. They aren't great because Ford is the best."

That statement would force the reader to assume that the only reason that you do not...

not sure what the age range is here, but i'm 22. the only people i see using these types of features is younger people. i see 13 and 14 years olds that love the sond of video calling. i think its going to be a big hit with them, but not for a while.

I actually think that the demographics in which they will attack is mid 30’s and businesses who heavily rely on communications. I am 22 also, and I don’t see the need for video calling. The problem is, Cisco already has these kinds of devices and services, so that means Cingular has to go up against Cisco and that is a very difficult task to do. Why would the Cisco customers leave one of the best companies who already have a proven record on this type of things and others to Cingular who just started out? It’s a tough decision.

By the way, I am not sure if you read the article but they said the same thing that you did. Hmm. β€œYankee analyst Linda Barrabee said Cingular's service may appeal to young cellphone users or parents showing-off c...

i didn't get to read the whole article because i'm on a closed network and i can only go to phonescoop. but i do agree that price will have a big influence on how many people will even think about using it. I'll probably get a good deal on it with my employee plan anyway πŸ˜‰

Why bother posting those stupid posts? We all know that you have no knowledge when it comes to this industry so please don’t bother posting. My point was very important because Cisco is the best when it comes to these types of technology and I never said they had a wireless video conferencing device, so please stop putting words in my mouth. And I said why people would choose Cisco over Cingular. It will be problematic going over Cingular’s network so why bother? It will be very slow and very painful on a small screen with Cingular. So I said Cisco has it, why would their expected target demographics choose Cingular over Cisco. If you have nothing to input please don’t bother.

If you only had a clue how far you are from the truth, Sprextel18... I post my posts because your replies bug me. They truly bug me. Why? They bug me because you regurgitate buzz words and your "facts" that you gather from press releases and conference calls without any idea as to what you are actually puking all over the message boards.

"So I said Cisco has it, why would their expected target demographics choose Cingular over Cisco."

I'd love to see your source that states that Cingular's targeted demographic would be better suited by a Cisco solution. Come on, Sprexboy. Bring it.
