I'm sure the new interface will be as bad as the old. Verizon needs to dump the idea of it's unified interface. 😡

It has a new interface, but still has some similar aesthetics.

Look, I know to all of us TECH savy folks that waste our time chatting on phone scoop think that the UI could be replaced, sure. ut in the big picture, the other 95% of users don't care, There is no point in bashing it, it was a Great idea on behalf of VZW, I have a friend who just purchased an 8300 to replace his sammy950, As I hand it to him he says, " I love how its like the other one" I just laughed and then showed him the new Flash UI options. He loved those Too. Get over it.

Actually, the user interface is totally different than the 8300. Similar, but very different.

The whole point of the flash UI is that the appearance can be altered, but the menu structure remains the same. Regardless of the theme, menu+left+down+ok still equals my sms inbox.

Have you seen an 8500 in person and checked what theme its loaded with? My assumption is that it will have a default theme (music I imagine) but still offer the old UI and another option or 2.

I'm also still banking that we will have a GIN theme app before long to purchase additional flash themes.

No, you need to get over the fact that some people dislike the UI and actually want something that fits
their tastes rather than verizon's. If you don't care, that's your opinion. I think that verizon is no longer making the menu "simple" by adding menus for the side buttons. That is just crap, and just takes up more space on your wallpaper. Plus, I find the regular LG UI better than vzw's one.

What I think is irrelevant, just like what anyone else thinks. The fact of the matter is that the UI is here to stay and there isn't a thing anyone can do about it. From a business perspective, it makes sense. I, myself, liked LG's old UI but I like this one as well. But like I said, my opinion doesn't matter.

Seriously, you people need to get over complaining about the UI. It is ridiculous. The UI has been on almost all of the phones that came out in the past year. It's not going away. I'm sick of seeing these posts everytime I open the forum on a new phone. It's not going to change anything by you people all complaining back and forth about it. It's here to stay so get over it. If you want it changed, maybe the 200 out of Verizon's 50-some million subscribers should start emailing them with these comments instead of posting them here and annoying the rest of us with them. The standard UI is ideal for 98% of the people who are out there using the phones who could care less what Moto or LGs menus are like. Most people want a phone that ha...
