Why not a GSM version with a memory card? Well, at least the verizon version isn't as cool lookinag at the GSM version.

when the motorola capri(codename) comes out(hopefully they will add WCDMA/UMTS/HSDPA on it later, that would be so cool) this will really compete against the blade, katana, chocolate, watever, and t-mobile is releasing the sk3 so i think we on the GSM side got our fare share of cool phones,

verizon deserved it, we get sick of them w/ the "its the network" but at least they have a sexy phone to back it up,

a gsm version of the chocolate (tri band, not quad, i believe) has already launched in europe. there's nothing to say that same gsm model won't be launching in the US as well- only with 850 1800 1900. my guess for a carrier, because they have a strong relationship with LG, would be cingular. but this is just speculation here. ok?

Why would Cingular have a strong relationship wtih LG? They sell garbage on their carrier.

With Cingular already carrying the Samsung D807 slim slide and the Capri comming soon, why would they want another LG slim slide?

Because all the Samsung phones look the same (sort of Like Sanyo's on Sprint).

The Chocolate at least has a distinctive piano gloss finish and a smokin touch sensitive keypad.

Let me give you a lesson on marketing. While Tech geeks think all it takes is features, features, features, marketers know that it is style and design that sell the phone.

the Chocolate (GSM version will be the international version) has that WoW appeal. The Samsungs, while professional looking, have less an appeal.

Cingular has 50 million subscribers, why wouldn't they have 3 slim sliders minimum.

As for LG selling garbage, the CU500 kicks the crap of the Samsung ZX20 anyday.

I DOUBT CINGULAR WILL GET THE SAME PHONE....FIRST OF ALL DONT YOU GUYS THINK THAT VERIZON HAS A CONTRACT WITH LG TO HAVE EXCLUSIVE RIGHTS TO THE PHONE IN THE US.....I DOUBT THEY WOULD ALLOW LETTING A GSM VERSION BE RELEASED TILL A WHILE LATER WHEN THE PHONE IS TOTALLY OUTDATED....MYABE CINGULAR WILL GET A CRAPPIER VERSION OF THE PHONE....JUST LIKE ALL THE PHONES THEY HAVE NOW...HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH

ALL YOU CINGULAR FANS CAN REPLY TO THIS BUT I COULD CARE LESS

Dude, a GSM version already exists. Has for a while now.

And as far as Cingular having crappier phones then Verizon. Well... 🤣

And by the way, caps lock. Hit it.
