i wanted this phone ever since it came out in europe but i didn't get it because it didn't have to MicroSD slot BUT!!! this thing has it now... oh my god i can't wait until this thing comes out.... hope is not that expensive... when is this VX8500 coming out?? if you have any information about cost and release date please reply back to this message good people!!! Forget "people"... You can expect LG and Verizon to call it the Chocolate.
Ever since the RAZR, phone names are all the rage, and LG is all over that trend. The V, the Migo, the Fusic... they're just getting started. LG marketed this as the Chocolate phone overseas, and they will definitely keep the name when it comes stateside. I doubt VX-8500 will ever even appear in any marketing materials.

Don't forget the a900 "Blade" 🙄 and the 6600 "Katana" which by the way I got to play with today and was horrendously unimpressed.
I wish this one would be out by the time I have to return my v710 but it looks like I will be getting the 9800 (aka the V :roll🙂 instead for my settlement.

aside from the glorious atrocity that would be the name "chocolate" ::: shudder::: this phone looks to be the answer and to many a person whose only bone to pick w/verizon being the lack of "cool" phones. I pesonally feel a little better about the addition of a few good phones recently. It seems as though the good news keeps a rollin' in.

I'm not a slider fan, but this looks like a great americanize version of the Chocolate. The Ipod D-pad is an awesome way to attract people who want an ipod/cellphone. This would have went over well with the i-tunes allied carries but will definately do really well with V-Cast Music. I just hope they don't call it chocolate, vx8500 is good or a thousand different possible nicknames.
