Sidekick 3 On Sale Next Week
I don't see why Danger/Sharp doesn't create a CDMA version of the Hiptop.
T-Mobile's data is EDGE & works just fine with an SK, which has its own server-side mobilizer. ;)

Probably due to the whole "this is our flagship device, no you can't sell it to other carriers in the US unless you had pre-arranged contracts" thing that T-Mobile has with Danger. Exclusive contracts = awesome.

Can you explain why Suncom (US Based, regional GSM carrier) is selling the Hiptop?

He means T-Mobile is the exclusive carrier in the US. All other carriers get it a few months after T-Mobile.
Suncom is ALSO in the US... and they carry the Danger Hiptop 2. T-Mobile may have time exclusivity... but not total exclusivity.
🙄
You can go on for days, but what you're talking is mostly ****. The SK3 doesn't have video, big deal. It still does what I need it to do for work better than any Treo (and honey, I have tried to SSH on those things, they're awful). You can call it a toy until you're blue in the face, that doesn't mean it's not a better text/email/SSH phone than any Treo. ;)
Exclusive.
Contract.
T-Mobile has a Exclusive Contract with Danger for the Sidekick. No, VZW and Sprint will NOT be getting it anytime soon, because it is... one more time... T-Mobile's EXCLUSIVE DEVICE. SunCom has it, but they're not a nationwide carrier. No, T-Mobile will not let another nationwide carrier horn in on their...ONE MORE TIME... exclusive contract.
I'm done with you. You just don't know what you're talking about. 🙄
