that's right people...motorola has done it again. except this time around, they're comming out with TWO new pieces of sh!t for the uneducated/based on looks alone public, and will soon be releasing the Canary, and the razr-slider the Capri. you can check out both at the following links:

http://www.gizmodo.com/gadgets/cellphones/cellphone- ... »

http://www.slashphone.com/83/4561.html »

(Note: at the bottom of both articles...click "bengalboy" for even more pics.)

come on motorola...with all that money ur making...can't u spend it on a better, more intinuative design team? ever heard of getting new ideas? stop stretching this design as far as it will take you (to the bank in this case).

So why are you guys wasting your time to post for something you hate? Just a thought. I don't like Moto much either but RAZR is pretty unique - least to say.

Sometimes knockoffs are better then the original. The Samsung A900 is far better then the razr in design and function.

The question should be: why in the hell are you trying to act like you know anything at all about cellphones (Argonnj). The A900 is a piece of **** and so is the RAZR. You might as well get tow paper cups and a string to get better headset volume on the RAZR. They f uped the volume so people would have to buy a bluetooth headset. Also Sony's W600i is a much better phone by far. Yes motorola may look nice but they can't do anything. Basically people are paying for a V557/551 with a MP3 player which is worthless. You cannot even make playlists with the SLVR or Rokr. Let's face wannabe cellphone experts need to go to rip-me-off-scoop.com. 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣

and who made you the expert phone guy here? The samsung a900 and razr arent even in the same class first of all. And the real question here is not why Argonni is trying to act like they know anything at all about cell phones, but why are you such a pampas jack off 🤣

Are you serious? You have not even written a phone review and now you want to question other people.

You do make a valid point, i havent made a phone review. But i have better things to do than sit on this site and write reviews for phones. I see something that is completely stupid typed on this site, i am going to respond to it. I dont feel the need to be a total geek sitting on here writing reviews when i work for a wireless company and am around phones all day long. I have read the phone reviews on here by the way, and i could also list out the "pros and cons", which for some reason seem the same exact thing listed over and over again. So if you want reviews, youre lookin at the wrong guy, because i have better things to do with my time. I am also not going to sit on a message board and rip on people for their views, just because i think...

god, you're soooo cool! you wrote a phone review over 6 months ago and you're 10 times better than anyone else on this dumb site! i wish we could get together and talk about how dumb everybody is so we can feel better about the shortcommings in our own miserable life...like the fact that we sit around looking at what others post to form some dimwitted opinion of who they are and how much of a poseur they are! but nay...who am i to gaze upon your face, for YOU ARE TRULY A GOD AMONG MEN. i will forever worship the ground you walk on, o great one!

I concur, with the Samsung being better in functionality! ! ! I don't know how thin LG's CU500 is, but it looks thin, that handset is pretty damn functional! ! ! Comparable to the Samsung.

Keep in mind, when those phones came out, the Razr was already almost 2 years old. There's no way from a functionality perspective that you could expect the Razr to be on par.

correction. The Blade looks better, and has more features, but the menu needs to be simplified. I mean 12 icons is NOT nessecary, and the T9 needs MAJOR fixing. Highly annoying to keep pressing options then number, options, alpha, options symbol. I mean c'mon txt messaging is supposed to be short n simple not long and mind numbing.

Everything else about the Blade is better. I mean mp3 player, bluetooth, 1.3 mega pixel camera. But there's no trans card. Which makes my Samsung T809 from T-Mobile better than BOTH. Unless that is of course your one of those people who will pay $25+ a month to watch tv and browse internet on your phone. That's really about it though.

As far as these two new phones. I agree they look like crap. I think the V...

EXTREMELY innovative, the RAZR was, and still IS, BUT it's fragile, my opinion of it might be different about it had it been made of alloy like the Nokia 8801 for example, but the RAZR is just too, too fragile, no thank you! ! !

About the only improvements Motorola should worry about on the V3 are color options, data speed, memory and maybe, oh, uh yeah, reliability. But the form factor is fine. The "canary" looks like it went down the mind shaft and was overcome by methane.
With all the supposed man-hours in testing put in to Cingular's line up, I'm surprised at the frequency and depth of failure rates. At least the V3 was able to withstand these shortcomings by sheer visual appeal. The canary, well.....maybe it will be what's inside that counts.

The truth is that they don't have to reinvent the wheel in terms of design.

It is like the Apple model. Each generation of HDD iPOD's aren't revolutionary new models, they are improvements with added features (photo, video, larger capacity).

Motorola has revitalized their company on the launch of one product, they deserve Kudos for that. No matter how much people hate the RAZR, they hate it because of it's success, not because it was a strikeout.

The Canary and Capri will not be this revolution (and no one is one the path, not even with LG and their Chocolate handsets) but they will continue the people's desire for a good looking slim phone.
