Cingular Rolls Out 3G In Atlanta
UMTS & HSDPA
All of the new handsets that Cingular is going to be launching from this point forward are going to be launching with HSDPA as well as UMTS. The two new handsets that are confirmed so far, are the Samsung zx-20 and the LG CU500. These two handsets should actually be launching in Cingular's current 3G markets by the end of the 3rd quarter. 😎

Sooner than that - both the current 3G phones are end of life with stock running down. There might be a gap in the time when 3G phones are available, but the CU320 is already off the business price list.

Sold out, and no longer offered, ha? That's a shame, I think the CU320 is much, much better of a handset than the Samsung 3G handset! ! !

A cow-orker of mine bought one, and she was very disappointed with the phone. I played with it a bit, I wasn't really impressed, but nothin' beats my 6682. I've not seen the ZX-10. The CV thing was pretty damn cool, though - UMTS is fast, and I can't imagine how cool the HSDPA upgrades will be.

The Cingular Video is very, very good. But you have to use the UMTS with MobiTV and the Mini Opera Browser to really see how fast it is!!
