New FCC Documents Unveil Sidekick 3 Features
Not really that impressive
Its a little smaller than the 2nd sidekick (also not that feature rich). Main dissapointment is only a 1.3 megapixel camera. By the time of its release this is going to be a standard camera. And for one i like to stay above par with the phones i buy. Currently i am running the samsung d600 go check out its features and compare. You may be impressed maybe not. General consensus most high profile phone buyers arent going to be remotly interested in this phone.

i would have to agree with you on this one i have never really been impressed with the sidekicks at alllll every one just likes them for the internet and the aim factor of the phones and thats about it and every one that has a sidekick has had more then one problem with it haha

I've never had any problems with mine, and I know more than a handful of people who have had no problems as well. I like mine so I can stay online while I'm not home, but alot of phones do that. $20 for a sk add-on feature, or pay for unlimited messaging, an email client for 10 accounts(including one from t-mobile), then the unlimited internet, interactive games with other sk users, ect...how much is all of that gonna cost when you break it down.

I cant help but notice the people who are hating on the sidekick in his thread appear to never have owned one. Yeah the sk2 may have had some 'break down on you' issues but it was pretty rare, and 9 times outa ten it didnt start acting up until you dropped it.(lol)
But anyway bottom line this is an impressive phone... why: ill tell you
no phone out there delivers pages faster or more complete with very little compression (if any)....this was true witht the sk2 minus the edge capabilities no just imagine the speed of your sidkick and multiply that by 5
you wont fine a more comfortable or user friendly 5 row keyboard on anyphone hands down not happening ang ive had the treo, mda, sk, hp you name it i probly hade it and nothing is better...

Actually, any regular wireless cell phone will load pages faster if you download the mini opera web browsing java app.

I second that motion. with opera and high speed you cant get no better. I've had the sk2 and it's faster with t9 then the keyboard.

What the hell are you talking about, "preety rare?" When I was working at T-Mobile, we had numerous people with sidekick issues coming in the store. I've switch a large amount of those people to the Blackberry 7105t,(at the time) The OS on the Sidekick is incredibly slow, and going back to the issues, three days after spenging a lot of money on the LE Sidekick, I had a hardware issue. And guess what...I didn't drop it..ever. After I got a replacement, that same day, I got another hardware issue. This is my third one as you can tell. The sidekick is crap, only made popular by sexed up celebraties, with no common sense. Want to be taken serious get a real PDA device, Like a Blackberry, Treo, or MDA. Leave the Sidekick to the kids...

The D600 has the same camera. I don't see how u claim that your phone is above par. I have the Samsung E730, which is the same phone has yours, but mines is in the flip phone form. Even our OS are the same.

I too have the D600 but am considering getting the SK3. (For the record, the D600 has a 2 megapixel camera and TV out) 😉 But I must disagree with deago78. I think the sidekick 3 has made great improvements and is in no way a sub par phone and with the added features, people who buy feature packed phones will be attracted to this device.

WTF? How are you gonna compare a SK with a D600? They are so differant in style and function, I meen really apples and oranges. So you have a video out, wow. A lot of phones have similar features, but to compare a QWERTY PDA-style phone with a small slide-type is out there.

I hope you're referring to deago because my post was directed towards terryjohnson as a joke cuz he said the d600 and e730 were the same. Deago is the one comparing. Try reading all the posts before posting one.
