I am a Libertarian. I find it interesting that a bill sponsored by a Democrat, Diane Feinstein and a Republican, Richard Burr draws backlash against Obama. You do realize that the Senate is controlled by Republicans, yes? If Republicans were the friends of Liberty that Libertarians are then this bill would not have a snowball's chance in hell of becoming law. But they aren't. They are the other side of the hypocrite coin from the Democrats. Spare me your sanctimonious mewling about Obama. We all realize that it was Republicans AND Democrats who sponsored the Patriot Act. Both parties want to restrict our Liberty. This bill will doubtless pass with bipartisan support.

And I agree with him. But just because I openly criticized the Democrats on this one doesn't mean I don't have my fare share of loathing for the Republicans. But I commend you for pointing out that the Republicans are, "the other side of the hypocrite coin from the Democrats". I have often pointed out that there is really only one party in this country.
