So True, and having done tech support for VZW, I could add several more to your list. Verizon's certification process is ridiculous, especially seeing how crappy many formerly decent phones become when they are offered by Verizon.

Although to be honest, VZW didn't really want to offer the Robin anyway, they Could have already allowed many many CDMA phones onto their network but won't for no reason other than greed and control.

That's proprietary CDMA for ya. The US had to be different and used some locked down, proprietary technology from Qualcomm while the rest of the world moved along with the open standard GSM. But we had to be different. After the US invaded Iraq, we tried to force our garbage CDMA on Iraq so they could be a little island from the rest of the world, just like us. That's called corruption as you know Qualcomm was bribing congressmen to do it. No GSM carrier has any control over what GSM phone you use on their network. With CDMA, the carrier dictates to you what phone you can use. CDMA was one of the biggest mistakes for this country.
