Please say that someone has a phone or device with AWS 1700MHz support. Even though the gov't, is holding the spectrum hostage, its nice to have a phone that can support it.

Nothing new on that front yet here at CES. AFAIK, we've already seen most of what's being announced at the show.

There are WCDMA AWS phones already being sold, of course. T-Mobile is selling the Samsung T639 and Nokia 6263, for example. I don't think any CDMA 1700 phones have been made public yet, though.

It turns out UTStarcom has a whole lineup of AWS phones! 🙂 They're pretty basic, but they will allow Cricket and MetroPCS to launch their new AWS markets this year.

I read about the 1700 Mhz support.

Cricket/Leap Wireless is great and all, but I think most of us were hoping for some T-mobile 3G love.

These phones will have to suffice.

I was hoping for a smartphone or PDA with 1700Mhz support.

The wifi enabled t-mo phones are great in the meantime.
