Sony Ericsson does not have an American CDMA division. They tried back in the day but decided to stick to GSM. I doubt we will ever see any more CDMA sony ericsson phones

here is a link to a news article from 2003 about it

When did that happen? I was aware that Cingular had an exclusive deal with Nokia, when did they switch to SE?

The answer to the question is relatively simple and Rich has already touched upon it. SE stopped making CDMA handsets for North America a while ago. Some SE GSM handsets are available on Cingular and most SE GSM handsets can be used with different levels of functionality (i.e no 3G with some) on T-Mobile USA.

I was told by a sony ericsson rep that cingular had an exclusive deal with SE. That could explain why we havent seen anything from them on TMO USA since the t610. Cingular did at one time have an exclusive deal with nokia that allowed only candybar phones manufactured by nokia to be sold(with the exception of the sam c207), but that has since expired as far as I know (hence the ROKR SLVR and L2 from moto)
