...Their basic cellular coverage still sucks. If I have a flat tire in Hooterville, I wouldn't care how much better their data is compared to a carrier that actually covers me with basic service.
THE MAIN PURPOSE OF ANY CELLPHONE IS TO PROVIDE EMERGENCY CONNECTIVITY WHERE IT'S NEEDED MOST. I have WiFi at home that is super fast and unlimited.

I have to say that coverage with T-Mobile has greatly improved. I drove from Atlanta, GA to Grand Forks, ND, and I only saw edge coverage in a few areas in Kentucky and Wisconsin, and I was streaming Music pretty much the entire way. I never once saw no signal for voice coverage.

Tellico Plains, Ocoee, Delano, Bear Paw, Reliance, etc have zero TMobile coverage. All of these locations do have Verizon and Sprint.
...
Tellico Plains has a population of 894, Reliance of 1034, and Delano of 1561. It would not make business sense to expend the kinds of funds required to provide coverage to such small communities. I could not find a place called "Bear Paw", However, Ocoee, TN, does have T-Mobile coverage. It's only 1900Mhz LTE and 2G, but there is still coverage in that town.
Oh, also, I checked Sprint's coverage - they have no coverage in Tellico Plains (Off-Network Roaming) or Reliance (Off-Network Roaming) , Half of Delano also shows Off-Network Roaming.
...
"Off Network Roaming" is still coverage. Zero coverage means that TMobile customers have no phone service AT ALL while traveling through those areas. Your "point" about native coverage has no bearing to this discussion. It was obvious to anyone who bothered to read my original post that I was referring to emergency service while driving.
Incidentally, both AT&T and TMobile's coverage maps are wrong for Ocoee, TN. This is something that anyone with a phone can easily verify.

You realize that Verizon has bought out Alltel, and many other smaller carriers that gave them this coverage. Sprint roams off Verizon and US Cellular to give it coverage. So to complain that T-Mobile, who is in the process of building their network, much faster, and much later than Verizon has been able to do with theirs (via acquisitions), is still impressive. Im sure they will get to those areas or rely on CCA Partners as Sprint does.

I can drive I5 from Seattle to San Diego and not lose voice service. It's not all metro area either.
...
The main purpose of any cell phone is not to provide emergency connectivity where it is needed most - thats what call boxes on the highway and rural routes are for. The main purpose of a cell phone is to offer telephony continuity away from home, and since most people rarely travel more than 100 miles from home on an average daily basis, this negates your logic.
Their data network is also inclusive of basic cellular service.

LOL!! "Call boxes" on the highway and rural routes?? LMAO.. Are you still living in 1990? I think you might be referring to pay phones... those were ripped out in the early 21st Century... and are now near extinction.
