I got one of these messages a week ago on my landline. It said that I received a text from a Sprint subscriber. It was really strange.

Sprint was offerning this during a free test period earlier in the year. Its a pretty neat idea. Sometimes you dont want to get caught up in a conversation and so a text message does the trick(same as if you where sending a text to a cell phone). Doesnt sound to bad either.

We have had it here in Austin since August I think. I found it by accident when I put in my girlfriends home phone rather than her cell. It works great! I am not allowed to talk on the phone at work but texting is ok.She can't use her cell at work at all since she works in the basement of a 40 story building. Actually analog works down there but no txting on that.

I've only sent one message to myself on it, so I can't make a blanket statement, but the one message I sent didn't sound bad at all.
