Are you going to fix the writing since yall put that it will be Quad-band, while the FCC states its a Tri-Band phone?

the fcc lists all bands the phone is approved for in the US. if you'll notice the approval bands, two are for gsm - 850 and 1900 mhz, the third band it is approved for use in is 2400 mhz. this is not a phone band, it is the unlicensed band for bluetooth (and wifi). the fcc does not list whether a phone operates in any of the overseas bands. so there is no statement about the 900 or 1800 mhz bands from the fcc at all.

if there is additional information in this filing or that you have from your own source that has you convinced the phone will be triband 850/900/1900 and not quadband, please let us know why.

I was saying that cause on their page:
https://gullfoss2.fcc.gov/prod/oet/forms/blobs/retri ... »

It states in the top center: "RE: Confidentiality Request for FCC ID: APYNAR00600 GSM 850/1800/1900 GPRS/EGPRS phone/ Bluetooth Enable"

Thats why I said Tri-band.

thank you, terry. that is an excellent catch. since we expected this to launch in europe, we also expected it to be quad band since there was no word of two models. and i hadn't found anything to the contrary. we will correct this now. i appreciate you pointing that out.

Why did you put 850/900/1900 on your last reply? Tri-band is either 850/1800/1900MHz or 900/1800/1900MHz. This phone does not have the 900MHz band.

Because its for the US and Canada markets which has had the SK2 since 2004. Europe and other overseas markets just got the SK2 last year. They will not upgrade that fast.

Right, I know that; I'm just confused as to why they wouldn't just go ahead and make the 3 quad-band so they don't have to mess with it anymore before releasing it in Europe.

I'm just glad it's a domestic tri-band this time around; it's very irritating not being able to roam on 850 right now when I travel.
