This IS a HOT phone, but as usual, since Verizon Wireless will be getting this phone, we all know darn-well that all the good features will either be crippled or not as featured-packed as expected!

It would be nice though to have everything on it and working!

HEAR THIS VERIZON WIRELESS, WE WANT FULL-FEATURED, WORKING PHONES!!! 😲 πŸ‘Ώ

If someone complains about VZW service, and there is no one around, do they make a sound?

They aren't listening. I mentioned this to a rep, and they just ignored me.

When they lose enough customers, they will realize what they are doing.

I heard they are going to crazy glue the swivel so that it does not turn just to piss off people who like that feature. It was really the only way they could "cripple it"..... 🀣

Actually, Verizon pays pretty close attention to this forum and a LOT of their employees have mentioned this forum and have claimed to be members.

But I'd just like to say it's bad enough that CDMA is about a year behind GSM and the US is behind Europe and Asia in cool phones to begin with. Why does Verizon have to keep handicapping themselves further in this category?

Steve,

CDMA IS technically and operationally SUPERIOR to GSM/TDMA technologies.
I think we all know that Verizon seems to be way behind the GSM carriers for phones that are 'cool'. Yes Verizon seems behind on the phones that we'd like to have, like a high end PHONE that is small without all the extra revenue generating things like EVDO and PIX, and MP3.
But just like a real cool looking car that you'd prefer not to use as your commuting car due to reliability, or buying the house with the pretty drive on the bad dirt road to work vs the smooth freeway,
when we look at the big picture, Verizon is superior.
Cool GSM phones are cheap to make, use less power, (read-have less range/ability to provide coverage in fringe areas), etc.

Wow! There you have it. I suppose since most of us here are Verizon customers...we already knew the things we liked and disliked about the carrier. If the phones were cool and the network weak...then they'd be T-Mobile. I have never even wasted my time looking at the GSM phones. I know that I will never go with one of those carriers, so what would be the point? Yes, it's true. I would like to be able to create my own mp3 ringtones (without having to hack the phone with some program like bitpim) but the bottom line is I would much rather have a phone I can depend upon than I can play on. I suppose if one disagrees then eventually you will wind up on one of those 'other guys' page.

The N90 is still great. Of all the phones I've ever seen, I like the design with the folding and rotating camera on top of the clamshell the best by far.

It's too bad that that phone doesn't have vibrate. That's a real deal killer for college students who need vibrate so they don't disturb their classes.

Anyways, this is a CDMA phone so unless your contract is almost up, it doesn't really affect you.

Yes, in fact, we do read this forum.
I can tell you that employees complain about this issue all the time. The complaint I hear most often from people (lately) is that we shut down the Bluetooth settings that come from the manufacturer. It annoys us, too. You’re not alone. We are working on it.
It’s a trade-off. If you use Get It Now to DL songs and share them with your friends, we lose the revenue. Eventually when enough people switch (or threaten to) we’ll stop the practice.

Why is it that anytime there is a thread that mentions a phone destined for VzW, a service destined for VzW, or has a word that starts with the letter "V" in it, all the crazies come out and start griping about Bluetooth? Get over it. You don't like Verizon? I have good news for you. This isn't some Verizon empowered slave-state. You have at least three other national cellular choices, along with regionals, satellite phone, or landline services.

If you think that every phonescoop thread has the chance to be your soapbox to preach to VzW, I'm gonna go ahead and shatter that dream right now....

For once, I'd like to read about a new phone I might be able to get interested in without having to shuffle and sort all the b.s. posts ab...

Personally, I'm tired of seeing people getting shot down every time they contribute something on a forum or try to stir things up so the company will listen to what the customers want. I'll give you guys a lot of credit because this forum isn't bad for that, but I support the original author.

I'm on Verizon too because my parents just put me on their plan and since I'm in college and hardly have any money, I'm not about to change services. It's also the most reliable network in America and I'd like to keep that without having to put up with a lack of phones and features.

I have news for you. That simply is no excuse. Verizon disables the mp3 ringtones and bluetooth for a reason...profitability. There are plenty of customer's willing to pay for those features which some would like to see Verizon give away. I am an original purchaser of the V710 and I was TICKED OFF that I had to keep the original software on my phone to be able to create my own ringtones (I kept it though) so I definetly understand as a consumer. However, let's not be ridiculous about this. After a point, it becomes simple whining to hear the same jack over and over and over again and basically downright annoying. Bottom line: You're not leaving and they are not changing their stance upon stuff like this. After they settled th...

Sorry bud, but YOU and EVERYONE else who complains about other people's complaints need to get over it. Everyone is entitled to their opinion and for you to come in and shoot them down is ridiculous. Argue with them, defend your company, but don't tell people they can't or shouldn't complain. That is everyone's right and the internet in general is the forum for people who want their voice to be heard.
That's the "final answer"! 🀣

crazy question...
why is verizon in business???
because they want to make money! every way they can. why is it so hard to believe that they want to get paid for this stuff? i'm not asking you to like it, but get realistic. we could argue all day about how "if i ran the company" but we don't. i'd love to see verizon change some of these policies but it's not going to happen. just be happy that there are boards out there like this that help the people who really do care about getting more out of a phone.
