Is this better than the v3i GSM? We do have a 1GB removable memory...Is the external screen 65K or 262K...? Preliminary from one source P/S say 65K. But this maybe non-reliable at this early stage. We really need the comparable test and I await the chance...

No OBEX or OPP Bluetooth profiles in new V3m

--------------------------------------------- -----------------------------------

I just thought I'd mention that Motorola significantly reduced the number of Bluetooth profiles in the new V3m. Here's the list from the Bluetooth qualification website.

- DUN-GW
- GAP
- HandsFree-AG (1.0)
- Headset-AG

For all the doubters, this can be found at the following link.

And for reference, here's the Bluetooth profile list from the V3c.
- DUN-GW
- FT-Server
- GAP
- Generic Object Exchange
- HandsFree-AG (1.0)
- Headset-AG
- OPP-Client
- OPP-Server

Here's a link to that list.

i think we should wait on that question until we know if we can put music onto the memory card, which probably is not going to be the case.

Thanks for spreading the word.

I think I'm going to stick to the regular V3c. At least I can put the Motorola UI using the Alltel flash and it has OBEX. On the V3m, I'm betting that Verizon will allow you to store music files on the microSD card but I bet they will only allow music files purchased from their store, not your own MP3s.

Why would this phone be any different than the other VZW music phones, ou can save any songs you want on the memory card, they do not have to be purchased from the vcast music store, althought that would be the quockest and easiest way to get the music since you can do it over the air.
