Yeah, I'm giving up on Cingular's launch and am just going to buy one off e-bay. You can get one for around 250. Not bad.

The quality testing is probably taking forever, that's usually the story. Unless they are doing a stealth launch on it which is weak sauce. Just release the damn thing!

250 isn't bad, and I have a feeling that cingular may skip launch of the v3i and go to the v3x cuz it's UMTS, I hope..... 😁

Someone here says it (v3i) is on Cingular's April price list:

that doesn't mean anything. the 9300 was on the price list months b4 release, and there are several other examples of phones being listed on pricing/rebates long b4 launch.

i doubt it's a 3G delay, but more b/c of the popularity of the razr/slvr. between the silver, black, pink razr's and the l7/l6 they don't want to launch a phone that competes with what's already selling.

Cingy's 3G moto will NOT be the V3x, but something similar. i can't find the link but it was on phonescoop, in the news. i THINK it was called a 1070, moto calls it the 'carina'

Nothing against anyone posting here but I have posted before and will post again that Cingular is getting the V3i. Right now it is scheduled to be dropped by the 27th of this month.

Will it very? Yes maybe. Will the stores get it or online get it or over the phone get it before the other? Sure its more then likely it will be released online then phone then stores. Thats typically what happens.

If many people dont know but a carrier doesnt just say, make me this phone and poof its there....well I take that back Verizon does because they are gods gift to dog stuff. Needless to say Motorola or Nokia or whomever makes a device and shops it around. Cingular, Tmobile or whomever comes back and says sure and they have there feedback....then...

recently online has been getting the devices before the stores....but again who knows. It is always easier to have the devices at one location and then send out a webpage or picture saying...hey look at me...look what happened with the 8125

A little off the subject, but I currently have verizon and I was wondering if I should switch to cingular for the phones. I mean, would it be worth it because of the recent merger?

Never swtich carriers just for the phone. The coverage where you use it may not be as good.

Thats why its worth setting up a temp # and worse comes to worse if it doesnt work out then you have the 30 days of trial period to find that out. If all works out then port you # over after. Yes Cingular has better phones because its more of a worth for a company...nokia as the biggest example...to develop phones for a carrier or service(GSM) in which more people are a part of. Yes Verizon has 40 something million people with there CDMA service but...how many "globally" does gsm have? thats another reason why no Nokia phones for Verizon...yet.
