the razr doesn't look bad in different colors, but these are horrible... the black sleek look is great, why ruin a good thing??? my eyes hurt looking at them. 😈

well motorola started a trend, and an awesome trend at that. i kinda like the fact that motorola is providing more color options in this very restrictive wireless world... even if the colors are ugly pastel colors 😁

one could argue that nokia started this trend with faceplates 6 years ago, and then by offering at least 2 colors for many handsets ever since.

or one could argue sony ericsson, which has been offering multiple colors of their phones since their inception was a leader in this trend.

or one might look to japanese carriers offering phones in multiple colors 3 years ago. in fact one might argue japanese phones were even the inspiration for the pebl's design. take a look at the penck, which was launched in japan (in 3 colors!) months before the pebl was even announced.

Even though Moto may not have started the trend exactly... They're making the most wanted phones in different colors and making them hard to come by.

Like the Razr is very popular. It came out with Silver and then exclusively with cingular came the black razr, so people thought their was something special about it. Now we have the pink one and people still think their something special about it, even though it's just pink..

Now with the Nokia many many face plates were made for Nokia's which didn't make the phone special enough because the designs were not hard to come buy, and Nokia didn't have high end features like the Razr does. I mean they're not about to take the Moto v188 and make it in exclusive colors... There's no point...

a couple of points here, and i'm sorry to be a troll, but in the case of phones like 3200 u could easily have anything as a design for the face plate(magazine ad, personal pix, etc). 6230 in black was hard to come by in the states - the 6230 BTW was out b4 the razor and actually has more features. and what about the 6682, or the upcoming n80 in silver, though i really like the black version they were showing off.

I like the orange one.
When nearly every piece of electronics is black or silver or a combination of black & silver, it's nice to see some different options.

The thing is UGLY.Don't mind the colors but It looks like a flattened 551 to me. No memory card either. I won't be getting one. Will stick with my Nokia and Sony Ericcson. 😉

Mm. They look like Mentos that got stepped on. So much for being the fresh-maker.

"Fresh goes better, Mentos freshness, fresh goes better with Mentos, fresh and full of life!"
