has you realized lately that whenever there is a buyout especially more then $10 billion it is all either 1. borrowed and/or 2. in stock and no one pays "cash" anymore for anything. i have talked about that in the past.

that was a fake bid, and we see them all the time and they mean nothing.

VC's have always been interested in buying companies and they usually do, but for vodafone, it wont happen. many VC firms, especially combined, have $5B in equity, but it is too risky to get into vodafone right now..

but, a company like verizon, would be a great play for vodafone as previously explained. 1. gives them $80+B in assets (network and spectrum), a global footprint, one of the best worldwide brand name and company in vodafone, and more then 170 million in subscribers, which is not including any of their joint ventures or minority stakes..

it makes plenty of sense.. $50+B for vodafone's verizon wireless stake is nothing but to pay another $100B for the whole thing, it is a great idea..

oh well, time will tell.
