My contract is up on the 29th, and I wanted a Galaxy 6, but I can't afford $600.00 for a phone even on payment. We're paying 120.00 a month now for 1 basic phone , tablet and smartphone. This really sucks. I don't really care too much about the data, I don't use it hardly at all but the price for the phone is what gets me. I could pay the $199 for it but not no $600.

So you get 1gig (since data isn't very important)
$30- 1 gig
$20 Smart
$20 Basic
$10 Tablet
$90 Phone Payment for a new GS6 (Around $30) so basically what you pay now and you get a GS6 for $0 down not $200. Math is hard but sounds like you will get a better deal.

what I was told monthly payment for G6 would be $25. I have insurance too that's $8.

What I also was told that you still can't get a new phone until the phone is paid off, so basically it's like a contract anyway, still can't get a new phone every 18 months.

$30 20 20 10 25 8=$112 plus taxes.....HMMMM that sounds cheaper than what ur paying now and not spending $200 up front....how is this bad?!?!?!?!?!? Also you can get a phone before 24 Months....how you ask...PAY OFF YOUR PHONE!! The best part is you can even trade in your phone before 24 months to pay all or most of it off!!! Funny how things come together when you actually get ALL the info!

Well there's no way I can pay the phone off before 24 months, we're on a tight budget.

You can pay it off by using the trade in value of your current.

In 18 months...if thats when you decide to upgrade...you will have paied in 450.00 towards the phone balance. So thats 150.00 left you would have to pay to upgrade.

You said you were willing to pay 200 but not 150.00? And your coming off a 2yr contract now. Plus you can still trade in your phone for cash value. Lets say worst case it only trades in for 50.00 your only paying 100.00 out of pocket to get a new phone.

Now if you have extra funds and wanted to make a down payment towards your phone everything drops in price. You can still pay the 200.00 front. That drops your payments down to 16.66 a month.

30.00
20.00
20.00
16.66
10
8 =

104.66 plus tax.

Short and simple answer is yes, anything you put as a down payment will in turn reduce the monthly payment for the device thus reducing the monthly bill. So.. if phone is 600.00 and you put down 200.00 then the remaining 400.00 is divided into 24 months and that payment is then added to bill. = 16.66.mon. So after 18 months you will have paid 300.00 and if you want to upgrade early you can a) pay the 100.00 difference or b) trade in phone and apply value to payoff so if phone is worth 100.00 u pay nothing else. If it is worth 50.00 then you pay the 50.00 difference. Otherwise after 24 mon the payment falls off and u then begin to save monthly until you decide you want to get another new phone.
