No kidding. The ones I have seen are problematic.... bad bluetooth (~5 ft range, instead of 20-30 like it is supposed to be), slow, etc.

The regular Palms don't have these problems... but I only have tinkered with the CDMA ones, not the GSM ones yet.

I'll stick to my regular phones. They do plenty for me anyway. Once you get used to predictive text entry, it really doesn't make a whole lot of difference anyway, and that's the only thing I use a lot.

I just got the treo 700w on Verizon and I do not have those problems. And the email function actually works better than my colleagues Blackberries. So I don't know where you are getting your statements from.

The RIM products do push email VERY well. No lockups, rebooting, delays, ect... The Treo's dont do PUSH without an unstable third party software add on.

i thought that treos were only capable of pull anyway? As in the email has to be retreived instead of direct to the device. Even with the 3rd party software it is still pull???

While I have used Blackberry for 5 years, I have never used a Treo. I thought about it, but the "push" feature of Blackberry was always a plus to me. Of course nowadays I understand that there is a software program that you can buy to "push" mail to the Treo.

The one negative for people like me to switch is $$$. I have a lot of money tied up in accessories and with if RIM has to shut down and if the "plan B" doesn't work, I certainly wouldn't be able to sell it on eBay, Craigslist, or anywhere else.

Another issue for me is will an unlocked Treo 650 really work with tMobile? Yes, I use VZW for voice (Razr) but tMobile for my data and phone back-up needs. I have heard that it is possible to get it to work with tMobile, but personally I d...
