FCC Keeps Auction Reserve at 30 MHz
Almost There.
VZW and AT&T have effectively secured the industry leaving T-Mobile, Sprint and the other smaller carriers with no way to build regardless of how much they spend to expand. This was a very important auction and a chance for T-Mobile and Sprint to have a balance allotment of spectrum to offensively compete on a higher level.
This essentially plays into the more money for government rather than procreating more diverse consumer choice.

As far as the smaller carriers i.e. C-Spire, US Cellular I agree with you. But Sprint and T-Mobile are not small companies. They have the means to bid on the spectrum, wanting out of the US market and giving prefrence to their other markets has nothing to do with it. This is a quagmire, do you offer spectrum at a lower rate to foreign companies and charge more for US based company? Half of me agree's with you, hopefully it woud level things out. The other half see's this as just not right by kicking your domestic owned carriers.
Honestly, Softbank has been a disappointment, and I wish a somewhat ethical company with funds would just take TMO-US off DT's hand and go against the big two. I can't see how Dish could pull it off...

The fact of the matter is both TMo and Sprint have the ability but unlike AT&T and Verizon they cry about how unfair it is to the smaller carriers. But in reality they aren't the smaller carriers! Compare them to one of the other 95 or so members of the CCA and they are the BIG GUYS!
Surely you believe they must WIN the auction bid to WIN spectrum to expand, right? That's how it goes. That's how Verizon has been building their network and growing over the last 3 auctions. Why should it be different for Sprint or Tmobile?
