How are these handsets anything more than a Samsung A800 with EV-DO? They are comming out a full year after the 2MP CCD auto-focus Samsung, without Bluetooth. Oh, how great.

Well, spec-wise I'd say they're pretty good. Also the 8300 (and IIRC the VK one) both had WiFi in their SK versions, and rumor is that Helio will be keeping the WiFi (Rich said that the rumor was specifically that all Helio phones will have WiFi).
Given that Helio hasn't said much other than announcing these two phones, what will make Helio very neat is the content they'll provide, and the statement that the phones will be pretty open to the consumer's own content.
So maybe these phones don't exactly blow some other handsets out of the water, but I think the overall experience will be great - basing that on previous PR and some e-mails to the Helio folks. Plus these are their first phones, and with SK as a partner there will be more w...
