Hey everyone. Sprint cell phone prices have been dropping, which usually means a new phone is about to come out. I have tried and tried to find any information on this. Can anyone help me or does anyone know of new phone releases?

You are asking for confidential information but refuse to disclose your e-mail address to be contacted directly. Sorry, but I don't think anyone who knows anything about that would be willing to post openly...

What prices have dropped anyway? Some EVDO phones were dropped in price to get more people on EVDO...

Just to give you a hint, don't expect anything as far as launches for at least another month. There is Motorola coming soon (since it has been announced on here I can say this) but it is a very low end device. Replacements for some of Sprint's stand-by phones (think high sellers) will be out around early summer. Sorry, that's all I'm gonna say.

Ok sorry here is my email add. My reason for suspecting new phone releases is the new A900 phone was recently released and prices were well over $200-300 now prices have dropped to $179. Could it be competing with the Motorola Razar?, possibly yet still as Nextel and Sprint complete their merger new phones are bound to be released.
I had a Sprint phone once but had to discontinue service to contact family through Nextel 2 way. I'm wanting to return to Sprint but the only phone that has the interesting features I'm looking for is the MM-7500, yet the phone itself doesn't catch my interests. With the features of Nextel and Sprint it's nail biting to wait for what they come out with next.

As far as pricing, the retail price of the A900/"Blade" is still $349 in Sprint stores, with the standard $150 off of that for a new 2-year contract. Some resellers may have some deals on the web, but I wouldn't associate those deals with the possiblity of new devices launching soon.

For the same price as the 7500 ($299 before activation discounts), you could go with the Samsung A920 (which is what I did). It has a larger screen, Bluetooth and a micro-SD card for picture/video/music storage that the 7500 doesn't have. I can't quote direct costs, but the A900 is actually a bit less expensive to Sprint over the 920 but carries a $50 premium based on the fad of the thin phones. Good luck!

Hey Citygirl, also keep in mind too that this merger is still in very early stages. The two sub-companies ar still purchasing phones like normal, and there really is no reason to believe a phone with the best of both networks will come soon, if at all.
Remember, the latest and greatest phone will only stay that way for a couple months, if not weeks. There`s always gonna be something better on its way, thats the nature of technology in general. They`ll milk us for every extra half mega pixel, for every new feature, and for every new service offered!
