Lolwut?
Why have a 6 digit if you have finger print?
...
Because not everyone who has an iPhone has a 5S or later and those who do not all of them want to use the finger print feature.
This offers more security... as simple as that
...
It's not really much different in security.
...
Sure, no more security having 990000 possible code combinations to prevent algorithmic attacks 🙄
...
🙄 if your using an algorithm to hack into something it won't matter at that point

Why? You know of some magic algorithm that guesses the correct password on the first try? If not, then it matters.
...
Do you know how one wroks?

I think what he was trying to say was that if someone has the time to attack your phone with an algorithm, they either have physical possession of your phone, or the know how to attack it successfully in the first place.
A 6 digit pin code is best against some random fool. But any talented hacker would crack that. And if you don't believe that you obviously have never written code before.

Ummm... I write code for a living. How about you?
...
What you do plus some other stuff.
And you'll notice I said talented hacker. Care to tell me why talented hackers can't crack code? Because Anonymous would have a laugh if you say talented hackers can't hack.

Real software engineers would have a laugh if you said the script kiddies at Anonymous were talented hackers. It's well known that the attacks that have gained them so much fame and notoriety over the last few years were considered to be quite basic and unsophisticated- beginner stuff really. The fact that they were so successful says more about the utter incompetence of companies like Sony than it does about the talent of any hacker in Anonymous.
Plus, there's more to hacking than just breaking encryption and guessing passwords. Real hackers are paid good money by software firms to break and fix their software.
But before we get too far off topic, let me clarify my original point. Because we probably don't disagree that much. I was n...

Of course a 6 digit code is more secure than a 4 digit code! In general, the longer the better.

almost wanna be that guy that says it. 🙄
