I dont get the point of this, they need to just get rid of italtogether. Theres no point in getting this. The whole point of having this option is to be able to get a phone without being on a 2 year contract and being able to trade it in after a year and upgrade.

First they change it to 75% and now this. I see a lot of people leaving because of this, i know i personally have.

It's not necessarily all about the money as they would get the money regardless. It's just they don't want perfectly good phones to go to waste. They actually would make more money offering more upgrades through accessories and other stuff people do to new phones.

So...

2-Year Contract, Discount Pricing on Device, $10 more in plan costs per month. Upgrade new device at 22 Months. Pay $300 ETF

2-Year EDGE, No discount pricing on device. $10 less in plan costs per month. Upgrade new device at 24 months.
Pay UP TO $700 ETF.

I see the contract on Verizon being the better deal. What this says to me is that Verizon not only ISN'T or CAN'T resell used devices to customers at the rate they want, which ironically, T-Mobile does extremely well with doing, but also a way to prevent customers on month-to-month plans from having an easy way to leave by upgrading to a low basic device, paying it off and high tailing it out of there.

The monthly discount for Edge is $15/month with a low data plan. $25/month with a 6GB data plan or higher. So I have no idea where you are getting $10 from. 😕
