T-Mobile Says LTE Footprint Now Matches Sprint

Neither T-Mobile nor Sprint are any good in Idaho and Montana, at Best a little coverage around a couple major cities in ID, rest is roaming at basically 1x if any coverage at all. For the Present Verizon has the best coverage in these states hands down.

Mo Money, Mo Towers.

I don't blame Sprint or T-mo for not putting a quarter million dollar tower every few miles to support the LTE needs of a few campers, some deer and those data hogging bears. Millions of dollars for maybe 5 percent utilization.

ATT and Verizon got most of their coverage through acquisitions of smaller regional carriers anyway, not because they actually paid to put in most of the towers themselves.

On top of the fact, that they got spectrum in 850Mhz 25+ years ago to have not only be the ONLY two companies to deploy anything in that area, but also have 25+ years worth of building. Sprint and T-Mobile both have only had half that time with newly acquired spectrum to be able to do it, but like you said, what would the point be to put that to use, if only a few people are using it, and the cost exceeds the return. Economically doesnt make sense.

How else does AT&T and Verizon get away with it? Charging higher prices for the network coverage - they even admit that youre paying for the network. What they dont admit is that you are paying, to subsidize a network in an area of the USA that you never go to, likely wont go to and in the unl...

Absolutely well said!
But when people do go to those areas and if there was absolutely no service available, people would find a reason to whine and moan.
