Wasn't it Blackberry that refused to sell T-mobile phones after the promo T-mobile ran for customers to trade in their BB's? I guessing it wasn't T-mobiles decision not to sell the classic until now, but BB just caving in and realizing they need any sale they can get.

If that's true, this is still a win for consumers as the Classic is by far the best BlackBerry phone to date, my wife has an unlocked one on TMobile since January and loves it.

What's the purpose of this phone? I can out text you - email and do EVERYTHING you can, while also running FAR more apps and have FAR more versatility. So what is the bonus? It's not even as if Blackberries have better battery life these days - hell, even their security is somewhat questionable, as a lot of competition can pretty much match it.

Blackberry is like the baby boomer generation - they decided to ignore reality and technology, and now they wonder why they're so far behind. Gee-whiz, it's a mystery.

Blackberry 10.3, which the Blackberry Classic run, has the Amazon App Store on it, In the Amazon app store, one can find the vast majority of apps that are available for Android and iOS. The 'app gap' is now small enough that it is now no longer a factor, unless one wants a very specific, highly specialized app which is exclusive to Android or iOS,, which is something that is true of very few people.

Likewise, Windows Phone 10 will run all Android and iOS apps.

So concern about the number of apps is rapidly becoming a thing of the past. We are approaching the day when all phones will run the same apps and no platform has a meaningful app advantage. This is a win-win for consumers.
