It was inevitable but these "organizations" are just shill proxies for the carriers themselves, seeing as that's who pays their salaries and if they are involved you can be sure its against the peoples best interests. Basically they just want to "monetize new profit streams".
Or milk their customers for all they can while providing the poorest monopolized level of service they can get away with. Too bad monopolies aren't illegal.

I'd rather have corporations milk consumers for all they can than the government milk tax payers for all they can. At least I don't have to move to another country to get away from an oppressive company, I can just stop doing business with them if I feel the product or service is not worth it.

Ummm.... hopefully. The point of government is to serve the people's interests. The point of corporations is to serve their own interests. Guess which one is the natural ally of the people's interests and has historically and still currently acts on their behalf.

Now, guys like you will take a comment like that to mean that I'm endorsing government control of enterprise, but I'm not. I just object to your notion that corporate greed will somehow drive the correct moral response which is in the public's interest... because it d...
