I surely hope you are joking. Speed is everything. with the basic DSL package in my area, you get slow speeds of 1.5Mbps. But with Broadband, for the same price, you get 6 Mbps. I would HARDLY call that the same

DSL is Broadband, maybe you mean cable? compared to dsl? average cable is close to 6mbps but you can get dsl from ATT that runs at 6mbps, Might not be in your area but is the same speed as you were referencing above and is DSL.
