Don't get too excited about this battery. It won't be around for probably at least 6 or 7 years at the soonest. Battery manufacturers will milk the Li-ion trend for several years before moving to the next generation. I remember hearing about potassium ion batteries back in the late 90s and how that was the next big thing. It never happened. This aluminum battery might not ever happen either. It might be something where we say "didn't you hear about some revolutionary battery about 10 years ago? What ever happened to that?" Seems like manufacturers are happy making li-ion batteries and might not want to change, especially if the next gen batteries last 15 or 20 years before needing replacement.
