not to nit-pick, but it's "genius." I only correct spelling when it's either so atrocious that you can't read it, or when it is ironic. This falls under the latter.

Seems like you were so quick to judge someone else's spelling, that you forgot to Capitalize the beginning of your sentence... 🙄

OK, but more interesting than the spelling thing...he was obviously referencing Wiley Coyote, btw...why is this phone garbage? And why oh why did Verizon get to put their own op system into the phone AND how does it compare with Motorola's? My wife wants a razr but I'm dubious.

I have just found that most motorolas are ridden with problems, especially the razr.
1. the screens will go white for a few seconds even minutes for no apparant reason.
2. they power cycle at times without hitting any power button.
3. Very slow menu's. If you hit buttons too quick you have to wait for the phone to catch up.
4. Battery life is no where near advertised.(happens more then not with most phones though)

I would say if you are getting a verizon, your best bet is LG, Cingular or T-Mobile get a nokia, Sprint get a sanyo. Nextel is all motorola but they dont seem to have as many problems as with other companies, but really dont have much for coverage.

Thanks for the info! I am a (right now) a devout Treo guy who wants to leave Verizon cause I'm getting more and more annoyed with them. Problem is the coverage in NY is great and T-Mobile(I tend to root for the underdog) doesn't do the Treo so I shell out for unlocked. The wife digs the razr so this is helpful info. T-Mobile has the new slim Samsung slider, though, which is very nice, except I hear the volume is very poor. Life is so complicated, isn't it?

yeah, treo's are the way to go. I have been in the cell business for a good 7 years and have always liked the treo. It is good and all to root for the underdog but t-mobile doesnt have all that great of coverage at all. As far as the samsung, i have not used one myself, but that seems to be a common problem with them. I am working for sprint right now and samsung came out with their version of the razr called the blade. I havent noticed any problems with the menus or anything like the razr but the battery life isnt all that great. Definatly a better phone though. But like you said, the volume isnt all that great....

Thanks for the info! I know, it does sound crazy to leave Verizon for T-Mo. I think that new vzw commercial with their network and the other guys' being a couple crazies with radios on the other side is meant to be a slap at T-Mo. But its just so damn expensive. And they get you on the family plan jumping from 700 to 1400 w/nothing in between. But in NY (don't know where you are) its rock solid great service. So there's that. Sprint in NY...no offense...seems shakier. Everyone I know who has it gets dropped calls and it just doesn't sound as good. But I guess I could investigate Sprint to save some money and keep my Treo. Thanks again for all the pro advise.

That is a lot of pink spray paint they have to recoup the cost someway. We are the King of wireless we can use whatever retarded logic we wish 🙂 Atleast its not painful to look at like the T-mobile one.

anyone who is stupid enough to pay an extra 50 bucks for the pink phone deserves to be ripped off, if you have to have a pink phone, you're stupid. go with the silver and buy a faceplate for it, they have them, i work two stands away from where they sell them

Exactly. I think it's fair that they charge more for the pink version. If someone really wants pink for the same price they should go the faceplate route.

Did anyone ever stop to think that in time the price just might just drop, like everything else? Just a thought. Usually, when something new hits the market, it's marked up, and then, as a little time goes by, the price will come down.

I almost agree. the problem is that Cingular as well as Verizon only ordered a limited amount or pink Razr's. and stores only can sell through their allocated inventory and then it is over. so both companies want to make excess money on a time and fashion matter.

EXACTLY... finally somebody said what we all know. It's a limited edition because it's pink. Nothing new about it. But like all limited editions, it's more expensive. When Halo 2 came out, I spent the extra 10 bucks on the limited edition set... what did I get... a tin case instead of the plastic one... whoop de doo... (Althought I did think the tin case looked cool... so it was worth 10 bucks to me.)

One last thing about the Motorola using the Verizon UI. It sucks!!! The UI works great on everything except Motorola. I was playing with the new V325 and it has the same lag problem with the menu that the RAZR has (which is why I dumped my RAZR and went back to my 9800). Hopefully there will be a software patch to fix this but not defininit...

why not?

Some see a rip-off and ask "Why?".

Others see a rip-off and ask "Why not?".

Which, loosely translated, means "Hey, nice job on the rip-off, I work in marketing too!". 😁
