Stop. Preloading. Crap.

I really hate it. Give us the option. Most likely I will not use any of those programs but because they are pre-loaded, I would have to keep them and can't do anything to get rid of them. It wouldn't be so bad if this phone didn't have fixed memory. If you want to have a partnership, then do something instead like provide shortcuts on there to the Play Store for the apps. You could go as far as having them as suggested downloads during the initial setup process. This is the main reason why I have a rooted HTC. I can delete bloatware to my choosing.

You are aware that companies pay for preloading their software, right? They have very little reason to stop preloading software like this - large contracts are worth more than a minority of consumers crying about it.

Hence why I also buy a root-able phone. I left Samsung as my phone of choice when they started coming with the bootloader locked and nothing you can do about it. HTC let's you go right on to their own website and request the code. I'm not going to feed into it. Besides, like either one of them REALLY need the money.

I buy unlocked, root it after updating the software. Then remove all the bloat-ware/crap-ware that will not cause anything not to run correctly. Google puts almost a gigabyte of their own stuff on phones, even the non-carrier ones. It's ridiculous unless you know you will use g-mail, google+, Chrome, and maps.

If there are, I can't imagine why they use an Android phone, as the primary advantage of Android is easy access to Google apps and services

Why are Samsung phones sold full price then? If they are getting kickbacks from preloaded apps such as M$ then they should offer steep discounts on the device.

Besides, isn't this the reason Windows tablets/notebooks are so cheap? It's because the OEM has all those deals with other companies to pre-load all their bloatware. Mobile devices should follow the same pricing model if their customers are forced to put up with all the pre-loaded bloat.

This is one major reason I buy Apple.

Samsung phones have much higher end specs on them (camera, processor, screen resolution, etc) than Apple phones and are roughly the same price. Sounds like Samsung phones are sold at a discount compared to what Apple gives you for what they charge.

On Samsung phones, even the stuff which comes pre-loaded still needs to be installed, and authorized. A pro-loaded app is really just a shprtcut to install ad authorize it on your phone. And if you don't want it, you can remove the shortcut so that it doesn't take up space on your phone, and you can disable it so that it doesn't use any memory.
