How much loss?

A big question is ... how much loss is there going to be when WM10 converts an MP3 to a WMA? I understand some people can tell the difference no matter how small the loss is, but I think if we get it out in the open the actual quality loss in hard numbers then people can make a determination to see how it affects them. SystemShock seems to be up on this since he is debating it so much, please inform us of the loss of quality, I can't find it anywhere on the internet how much quality is lost...

Is it like Black and White or Black and just one shade under Black so most people (target customers) can't tell the difference?

Then this argument is useless. You have been bickering about this the entire time for nothing. I hope for your sake you are a audiophile, otherwise you're arguing a moot case here.

Honestly, now that you can't backup (with numbers) your arguement of degredation of quality, I will ignore all rants and raves which have to do with this topic of loss in quality upon conversion.

Oh, and also is there any direct evidence stating that the WM10 will NOT be able to preserve quality at 100% during conversion? I'm not talking about general conversion, but with programming these days, you never know. They might have hit a breakthrough.

Uhh.. dude, read my posts. With my level of knowledge of the topic, you think I might be into audio? Duh.

Also, I ain't the one 'bickering'. I'm simply telling peeps how audio works, and (some of them, at least) are debating the most obvious things, either 'cus they don't know that much about audio, or 'cus they desperately want VCast Music to be a hit ('cus they work for Verizon?), or both.
