Tired of hearing this over and over, its a business those who can afford or want to pay the price should be able to do so.
Its like when people used to complain non-stop about Walmart destroying usinesses because they offered products for a lower cost, theyre a business let it go

There's a difference between "free market capitalism" and corporatism or more often crony corporatism. The Founding Fathers had no idea that someday giant corporations would be running this country. Corporations didn't even exist in their time. Capitalism is about competition. Corporatism is about one company gobbling up another and another and another until no competition remains. Crony corporatism is about them bribing congressmen (called speech now) to get laws passed in their favor. Did you know GE pays 0% tax and Google only pays 3%? But you pay 30% most likely. They lobbied (bribed) congress to give themselves tax loopholes. This T-Mo CEO is right about needing more competition. It's basically down to a duopoly. Compare that...

Only problem is DT if they so wish, can bid for spectrum at the same level as AT&T and VZW. They just refuse to.
...
It is not just up to DT, they own 73% or so of the company, but the other 27% of the company benefits from the spectrum grab, and isnt kicking in a dime either.
Also of note, DT wants OUT of the US game, they do not want to put MORE into it, and want to take the money out of it, let it be self-sustaining, licensed name of T-Mobile, and use the money made from selling it, or spinning it independently off, to put back into their own home markets of Germany, Netherlands, and Austria. Why do you think they were so eager and quick to sell their 50% share in EE UK to British Telecom? Cause they want out of the non-immediate markets. The US may be making the money for them, and is the biggest of all T-Mobile entities, but thats not what they wan...

"The Founding Fathers had no idea that someday giant corporations would be running this country. Corporations didn't even exist in their time."
Complete and utter garbage.
They knew that exactly this would happen. They knew it and wrote about it often. Their answer was to give the Federal government VERY limited powers so there would be no motive to take it over. This is also the exact reason most of the Founders were against centralized banking and why the very existence of the Federal Reserve is a crime against the US Constitution.
Not only did they write about this and warn us it would happen, they also wrote that to defend what we had we would probably have to kill the tyrants in charge...again.

Spoken like a true AT&T employee.

Nit sure if your trying to jab at the guy or call him,a shill, but there's a point. If that clown of a ceo actually put money into their network instead of trying to buy it's customer base, they would have something to compete against. He didn't spend the money right and is asking for big brother to push others out so he can be top dog. He's not doing this in customer interest. Legiere(the clown) did this with roaming agreements. he tried using the government to strong arm at&t into putting prices into what he wanted because it's not fair he has to pay for his subscribers using another network because they left the metro area
