Too bad it uses WMA. That pretty much puts ipod users out since it wont play em. I know you can convert it into mp3 or aac but then you loose alot of quality.....

I agree that AAC woulda been a MUCH better choice. MP3 not so much, 'cus there's no DRM with mp3?(that's what AAC is for, I think.. also allegedly sounds slightly better).
I guess VZW didn't really think it thru when they teamed up wit' Microsoft.. if I did pay for a VCAST music track, I would want to play it ANYWHERE.. phone, PC, iPod, etc. WMA makes it a non-starter for me.

Converting a lossy format (AAC) to another lossy format (mp3) is making a copy of a copy...large loss of quality. Yes it can be done, but should you?

Yeah AAC is soooo worth it. I download music from the Sprint Music store, and those files are AAC+ (Advanced Audio Coding), which is much better than .mp3. It also takes up far less space on a memory card. (I've seen about 1 Mb for what would normally be a 3 or 4 Mb song.)
Unfortunately, Sprint rapes us on song downloads, so it's pointless for me to buy more than a few. The memory card option is great because I can just fill them up with music, videos, etc., with a loss of quality...
I've downloaded a .mp3 to .aac comverter, but haven't gotten it working yet. ☹️
