there is a micro sd slot, and then there is the data port. The data port is for cabling your phone to your pc to sync music, or use it as a modem.
Usually theres a manufacturer specific cable that connects to usb 2.0 slot on your pc and the other end goes to the data port on the phone

yep 🙂 what i was wondering was if this phone uses the new standard microUSB port...b/c my RAZR2 (sux) has the microSD port and i didn't no if i would have to return accessories also...

I heard that the FCC is forcing all the cell phone manufacteres to standardize the charging ports for the phones making them easier for retailers and customers to use. That'll be a good thing if you tihnk about it though.

Remember accessories is a big business... If everything gets standardized and you stop having to buy seperate accessories, they loose that market. If anything the companies will drive the prices up in order to try and pad their losses.

yeah that's true. Accessories are a huge business. all i'm saying is that i hope something good happens in the future with accessories though. either they lower the prices or they do something else but yeah, I do know what you're talking about though.

accessories are a huge deal. before coming to work for a vzw direct store i worked at an indirect agent. how their enitre business is run is off of accessories. there is absolutely zero money in an agent selling at phone because they have to buy it at such a high cost then vzw gives a commission. i think if there were standardized accessories all of the small indirect agents would go out of business. good thing? bad thing? who knows

THat's a good point. As said before, accessories are a huge deal. Who knows what will happen only time will tell.
