Something else that you should keep in mind: at&t's HSDPA 3G Network is actually a CDMA data Network, or WCDMA. The voice part is still GSM; however data is WCMA. GSM's "superior" EDGE Network can't handle the data load as CDMA, which is why the GSM Carriers need CDMA for their data.
Also, Verizon turned down the iPhone. at&t's "Superior" network was not even Apple's first choice. Go figure!
Wow, ya don't say!!! Go figure as to why AT&T's miraculous EDGE Network wasn't even Apple's first choice. lol. Yeah CDMA is just better all around. Better voice quality, downloads, evertyhing. I won'der Why Verizon turned it down though? Oh wells, we'll probably never figure that one out. Good point though JunkNugget!
