pennyless, you have to be the most pathetic fanboy on all of Phonescoop. To even compare AT&T's archaic data network to Verizon's network where far more people are covered by 3G than 1xRTT is an absolute joke. There is no comparison. The only advantage of having a GSM carrier is getting unlocked phones. Everything else in the AT&T vs. Verizon argument is in Verizon's favor.

CDMA has better voice clarity, holds MANY more calls per tower giving better network reliability, Verizon's towers reach further than AT&T's towers because CDMA towers broadcast further by nature, Verizon's data network is lightyears ahead of AT&T's dinosaur network...that's why Verizon's churn is nearly half that of AT&T's, even with the terrible phone choices.

Yes, AT&T has better phones, we know. GSM carriers will always have better phones than CDMA carriers because they have more R&D dollars dumped into them and you can buy them unlocked, unlike CDMA phones, but even with the limited phone selection, it does not make up for AT&T's swiss cheese network. Once you leave cities, GSM carriers have no coverage. You can roam on CDMA networks forever. Very rarely will you have no service with Verizon, where you're lucky to have any service at all outside of cities with a GSM carrier.

And EDGE vs. EV-DO with EDGE being faster? Is that a joke?

I really hope you get banned, because all you are is a useless troll spitting lies because of your useless, fanboy nature. You're the worst kind of forum member. You serve no purpose and promote lies.
