So...good work, Dems. 🙄
Good way to jump on a potential problem after it was already solved by one of those evil corporations.
While you are looking in to those "privacy violations", will you also look into the privacy violations currently going on in the departments of the NSA, CIA, FBI and IRS? All controlled by the current administration...

what irritates me even more is the idea of Verizon policies being scrutinized by a bunch of 80 year olds who don't even understand the technology under question.. These are the same kind of people who freak out if someone uninstalls Internet Explorer from their computer and say 'someone deleted the Internet from my computer, who deleted the Internet from my computer?' Not that Verizon shouldn't be held to account, but can we PLEASE not have ignoramuses who don't even know what they are talking about be the ones to do it?

From the gist of the story I have read, it looks like Verizon may/may not havr some sort of culpability in this. I think Verizon is caught in the middle here. They say that once they discovered the problem they decided to let people opt out if the cookies. Why don't they just stop using that company? It may not be that simple. Verizon may be under a contract to allow these supercookies if there is nothing illegal about them...
But really, for dems to carry on about the rights of privacy is hypocritical horse crap. They have continuously supported most attempts by anyone to destroy our rights.
