Local news for me!

In any event ACS is about to be past tense. Their "broadband business" consists of lousy residential DSL service while GCI is planning Gigabit (cable) Internet later this year. I believe ACS is still the LEC in the big cities (for POTS) but who still has that?

They are leaving the wireless business because there's no future in cellular. Landlines are where it's at! Nobody wants cellular. I'm sure they're asking who was the genius who suggested they get involved the cellular industry. They know rotary dial landlines are the future, not cell phones. In addition, they're unloading their wireless unit to "strengthen their balance sheet." Simply brilliant. 😳
