Samsung Phones--Sprint Priority?
It seems every time a Samsung phone gets approved by the FCC, it always seems that Sprint gets the highest priority when it comes to these phones (Sprint has the most Samsung phones of all carriers). Shouldn't this phone be approved for use with Verizon Networks as well? Sprint having highest priority for Samsung Phones is just totally no fair. 😲

What are you talking about? Verizon has just as many sprint phones as sprint does. For example, they have the a-970, sprint the 940. They just tend to have a different number...But I can almost guarantee that verizon will have most of the new powervision phones coming to them...just more stripped down, dictated versions. Gotta love the communist verizon party and the limits they put on their phones. Sad to see that they took a lot of the functional reasons for having bluetooth and completely kicked them out the door...

Actually when it comes to the most recent Samsung phones Verizon got them first. The A970 which is the Verizon version of the A940 was released through Verizon before it was released through Sprint. Same thing goes with the A950, the Verizon version of the A920 was also released on Verizon before Sprint released it. As far as the A900, Verizon will probably not be getting this phone as they already have the Moto RAZR V3c. As far as the A960, who knows if Verizon will get a version of this phone. As for the rest of the phones, some may be carrier exclusive so Sprint will get phone that Verizon won't and vice versa.

That's kind of sick--Samsung should release phones that would work with both Sprint and Verizon, but IMO Samsung should think about making "unlocked" CDMA Phones so people can choose who to go with.

But now you're totally forgetting about things like subsidizing handsets. Not everyone feels like paying full price for a handset. Besides, Sprint and Verizon are different enough to not make that possible. Sprint uses J2ME and it's own multimedia delivery system and Verizon uses BREW and VCast.
