First Ever North American Service Area?

Let's get down to business - Nextel itself has operated on both sides of the border for years when it was around. Customers at least on the USA side, could roam in Mexico without charge for DC calls, however voice calls were charged per six seconds.

AT&T has operated as Rogers AT&T in Canada about 15+ years ago and customers on both networks could roam between the two. Calls were charged as roaming, however the cost was by far lower than other carriers who roamed cross-border.

If AT&T is looking to be the first North American Service Area, properly, that would mean that they not only need to buy a Mexican carrier (why they are buying two is beyond me, at the price the Nextel Mexico is costing, that would be a wise investment for T-Mob...
