Haveing worked for both sprint and vzw for the last four years I find it utterly rediculous that anyone claim sprint is better based off its mp3 service. Given that the Vcast music is not launched yet how can you compare and contrast?
How about we look at the facts instead.

Most reliable and largest network: Verizon

49.4 Million Customers second only to cingular

Lowest churn.. Highest overall customer satifaction. One call resolution as given in Verizon's worry free guarentee.. Vzw also does not outsource its customer service..

Roaming off Vzw's towers while technically true bear in mind that's a roaming agreement between Vzw and Sprint. So saying you can use any Vzw tower is incorrect.. Plus ever try to pick up analog signa...

I wanted to touchon price point but can't edit for some reason. Someone said sprint was cheaper, I'm unsure how this conclusion was derived. I will take the base for both plans.

Verizon:
Single line: 34.99: 300 minutes nights at nine (unadvertised plan)

National Plan: 39.99 450 minutes, nights at nine, im-network calling, no roaming

Family Share: 69.99 700 minutes includes two line and above features as single plan.

Sprint:

Single line: 29.99 200 minutes
,nights at nine, no roaming
,5$ for every 50 minutes past 200

Family Share: 59.99 550 minutes above features 5$ for every 50 minutes over.

Average cell phone use is rated at 700 minutes a month. How is sprint doing people a favor by giveing its single user 6 minutes ...

Ok, if you're gonna compare the two, at try posting at similar price points and state facts. Sprint IS cheaper. First off, at least Sprint offers a cheaper plan. Not everyone uses the average amount of minutes and you'd be surprised how many senior citizens ask for the 29.99 plan.

For Sprint:

34.99 = 400 minutes
Unlimited N&W @ 9.
No roaming.
$5 for every 50 minutes you go over.

$69.99 = 800 minutes for 2 lines
unlimted M2M
everthing else is the same as above

So, yes, Sprint IS cheaper and is a better value.

And as for your roaming comment, that only applies to the Free Icoming plans w/o the $5 America option and to the Area-wide plans. How about you read the fine print.

That was one thing I HATED when I had Sprint quite a few years back.

I used to travel and always get all these charges.. then I realized the "fine print" as Halo would call it.

I looked at other plans.. but Sprint always has all these weird charges.. Vision.. Power Vision..Free Incoming Plans.. I think that they are not consumer friendly and their plans are a little more difficult to understand than that of Cingular, Tmobile and Verizon.

Also.. since when is 100 text msgs 5$?? Sprint/Nextel is the ONLY company that has the "balls" to charge that much! ok so Verizon gives you only 50 for $5 but they also give you unlimited to other Verizon! OR the option of buying 100 messages for $2.99...
